On-Demand Transportation Services

Flexible, on-demand public transportation is available in several areas of Contra Costa County. Options include neighborhood shuttle service, discounted trips on Uber and Lyft, and dial-a-ride service for seniors.

Tri MyRide: Neighborhood Shuttle Service

Tri Delta Transit offers request-a-ride shuttle service in three areas of east Contra Costa County: Pittsburg/Bay Point, Brentwood and Antioch/Oakley. Service is available to anyone.

To use the service, riders first download the Tri MyRide app, then use it to schedule their pickup. Shuttles serve any destination within the Tri MyRide service area. A scheduled trip must start and end in a single service area. This means someone could be picked up at home and taken to BART, or be picked up at a shopping center and taken to any place in that service area.

The shuttle runs 5am-9pm Monday-Friday and 8am-5pm weekends and holidays. The fare is $2 per ride, which can be paid with cash or Clipper card. For more details, visit TriMyRide.com.

Go San Ramon: Discounted Uber and Lyft Rides

County Connection will pay half your Uber or Lyft fare (up to $4) for trips within the Go San Ramon service area, Monday through Sunday, during County Connection’s regular fixed-route service hours. The service is valid for trips that start and end in Zone 1 (South and West San Ramon) or for trips between Zone 1 and Zone 2 (West Dublin). Service is available to anyone for up to 10 rides per month.

  • Zone 1 includes the San Ramon Transit Center, San Ramon Regional Medical Center, Kaiser, and Alcosta Senior and Community Center.
  • Zone 2 includes the West Dublin and Dublin/Pleasanton BART stations as well as Deer Creek Apartments.

Wait times depend on available drivers, but in most cases a ride arrives within 10 to 15 minutes.

People with disabilities are able to take advantage of the service, since Uber offers vehicles that are wheelchair accessible. (County Connection also provides ADA paratransit service.)

To use Go San Ramon, you must have a smartphone which has either the Lyft or Uber app installed. Links to download both apps are available on the Go San Ramon page.

Senior Dial-A-Ride: Curb-to-Curb Service for Senior Citizens

WestCAT’s Senior Dial-A-Ride service provides curb-to-curb and door-to-door shared rides for older adults (age 65+), regardless of disability, in the communities of Pinole and Hercules, and the unincorporated communities of Montalvin Manor, Tara Hills, Bayview, Rodeo, Crockett, and Port Costa. Service is available Monday through Friday from 6am to 8pm and Saturday from 9am to 7pm. No service on Sundays or holidays.

The regular cash fare is $1.25, with $1.00 discount tickets available in sheets of ten. Registered Dial-A-Ride users can bring companions for the same fare, subject to availability. They can bring one Personal Care Attendant at no additional charge.

Before using the service for the first time, riders need to register by phone and visit the WestCAT administrative office to get a WestCAT Dial-A-Ride photo ID card at no cost. The ID card is presented to the driver each time the rider boards the bus.

Reservations are required and are accepted Sunday through Saturday from 8am to 5pm on a ‘next day’ basis. Passengers traveling to the same location on a regular basis may establish a standing reservation, eliminating the need to call each time.
