Pass2Class: Free Student Bus Rides

Pass2Class is back! Apply for up to two months of free student rides on Tri Delta Transit, WestCAT, County Connection, or AC Transit and your kids can ride the bus to school for free. Passes available courtesy of 511 CCTA while supplies last. Apply now.

Free summer bus rides for kids will continue through July on County Connection, Tri Delta Transit, and WestCAT. Apply early for Pass2Class so your student can continue riding at no cost with their free pass starting August 1.

Youth Transportation Survey

Contra Costa Transportation Authority wants to hear from families about how their kids get to school, activities, and other destinations. Your feedback will help guide and improve transportation options for youth and families throughout Contra Costa County. Complete the survey for a chance to win a $25 Starbucks gift card. Ten winners will be selected on September 13, 2026.

Spare the Air This Summer

High temperatures, longer days, and stagnant summer air can combine to increase unhealthy ozone levels. When this happens, a Spare the Air Alert is announced so we can all take part in reducing our impact.

Sign up for Spare the Air Alerts by texting START to 817-57 and you’ll be notified when air quality is compromised.
Eliminate drive-alone car trips by working from home or taking transit, biking, carpooling, or vanpooling instead.
- Take transit on Spare the Air Days, log your trips, and you’ll be eligible for fun prizes like coffee gift cards. Those same rides also enter you into our weekly $511 drawings. Sign up for Big Win on Transit to get started.
- If you’re looking to get back on transit or even try it for the first time, apply for our Try Transit promotion to receive a FREE pre-loaded $25 Clipper card.
- If you must drive, combine your errands into one trip and don’t use the air conditioner to pre-cool your car.
Save charcoal grilling for a clearer day.
Avoid using gas-powered garden equipment.
